Dunn Pitches Perfect Game for Haviland Monday, July 3rd , 2023 Haviland Thrashers starter Steve Dunn was as good as a pitcher can be, as he hurled a perfect game against the Corpus Christi Texans. In doing so, Dunn accomplished one of the most difficult feats in baseball and one that will put his name in the record books. "I can tell you I've dreamed about a day like this," Dunn told the press after the game. "Now that I've done it, the feeling is even better." In his splendid 6-0 victory at Whataburger Field, Dunn yielded no hits, walked none and had 6 strikeouts. In the historic outing he retired 27 successive batters.
