Tibbits Batters Buffalo for 5 Hits Tuesday, August 24th , 2021 Phil Tibbits was unstoppable, but the Saint Pierre and Miquelon Pirates were not. Despite his hitting heroics at Wegman's Field, the Pirates lost, 14-10, to the Buffalo Bellflowers. Tibbits battered Buffalo for 5 hits in 5 at-bats. His only consolation will be a boost in his batting average and a brief mention in the record book. Tibbits just shook his head after the game, telling BNN reporters, "It's the team with the most runs that wins, not the most hits."
