GONE! 3 HRs for Shafer Tuesday, May 13th , 2025 Moncton Mounties left fielder Danny Shafer had a magnificent game against the Buffalo Bellflowers, rocketing three balls out of Mapleton Yards to help the Mounties win, 10-6. "I got some good pitches to hit and I creamed them," he said after the game. "The first was a big, fat fastball and the last two were hanging curves. All three were mistakes." For the game, Shafer went 3-for-3 with 4 RBIs and 3 runs scored. "There's a fine line between hitting home runs and line drives," Moncton manager Johnny Hoffman said later. "Seems like Danny found his home run stroke today." Danny Shafer was hit by a pitch in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Macho Martinez in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Sergio Gonzales in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Diego Cantu in the 6th and walked in the 7th. So far this year in 32 games, Shafer is hitting .315 with 10 home runs, 29 RBIs and 30 runs scored. |
