Griffins Pitching Ravaged by Lopez Tuesday, May 6th , 2025 It was a parade of hits for Mario Lopez of the Chuluota Imperials at Griffins Field. Connecting almost every time he went to the plate, Lopez finished the day with a total of 5 hits in 6 at-bats. His strong individual effort propelled the Imperials to a win, 9-7. "Lopez was really good and we were really bad," groaned Griffins manager James Beatty. "Next time he's that hot, we'll just walk him." Mario Lopez struck out in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Cody Ahern in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, singled in the 7th, hit an RBI double in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 9th.
