Red-Hot Koerner Scorches Sled Dogs Tuesday, April 29th , 2025 Ft. Wayne catcher Curt Koerner could do no wrong in his team's 17-2 win over the Sled Dogs, as he collected 5 hits. "Things were in his favor in every one of his at-bats," Sled Dogs skipper Jordan Nolasco said to the press corps after the game. "He got hitters' counts." Koerner agreed, saying that getting ahead early in the counts was "the key" to his game. "Once you get ahead, it makes it a lot easier because you get a better pitch to hit," he said. "You know the pitcher has to come in with it. And you're ready." Curt Koerner grounded out in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, walked in the 5th, singled in the 7th, hit a three-run triple in the 7th and doubled in the 8th.
