Buffalo Stops Gomez Hit Streak Sunday, April 27th , 2025 After 20 games, Cesar Gomez had his hitting streak ended abruptly by the Buffalo Bellflowers at Club Circle Park. The Borrego Springs Rams catcher failed to get a hit in 5 at-bats, bringing his tenure in the national spotlight to a halt. Despite the tough day at the plate, Gomez seemed unconcerned after the game, talking instead about the Rams beating the Bellflowers, 7-4. "It was good while it lasted," Gomez said. "If it had to end, I'm glad it ended with a victory." Gomez currently has a .377 batting average with 26 hits, 5 homers, 17 RBIs, 17 runs scored and a .427 OBP. |
