Belsha Belts 3 HR for Bears Friday, April 26th , 2024 In a powerful performance that left the fans at Phoenix Municipal Stadium buzzing, Baylor Bears catcher Steve Belsha blasted a trio of home runs en route to a win, 13-5, over the Arizona State Sun Devils. "Everything was clicking," Belsha told the press. "My timing was good and I got pitches I could handle and I didn't miss them." Belsha shined brilliantly in the win, with 3 hits in 5 at-bats, 4 RBIs and 3 runs scored. "It's not just one guy, it's everybody," Bears manager Eddie Luis said. "Steve played great but it takes more than one guy to win a game." Steve Belsha hit a solo-shot off Mike McManigle in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Mike McManigle in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Jim Selle in the 5th, struck out in the 7th and struck out in the 8th.
