Yarbrough Wins Award for SL1 Dominance

He may only be 21, but Chris Yarbrough of the Virginia Tech Hokies has already established himself as one of the elite relievers in the Conference 1.

The reliever was today named the SL1 Reliever of the Year Award winner for 2020.

He won the award with a strong year that saw him put up 9 saves in 20 relief appearances and 15 strikeouts in 22.1 innings. He had a record of 3-1 to go with his 0.81 ERA.

He received 35 first place votes out of a possible 48. Scott Harvey of the Ohio State Buckeyes finished second in voting with 12 first place votes, while Brad Antol of the Virginia Cavaliers finished third.
