SL2's Best Player for 2022 Named
Monday, June 13th , 2022
The manager of the Auburn Tigers said he thinks John Cotton is only going to get better as he gets older.

He may only be 18, but it will be hard to top the second baseman's 2022 campaign, as he has been named the winner of the Conference 2 Most Valuable Player Award.

His winning campaign featured a .365 batting average and a .470 on-base percentage this year. In 46 games he piled up 69 hits, 11 doubles, 4 triples, 14 home runs, 56 RBIs and 45 runs scored.

He received 14 first place votes out of a possible 56. Taylor McLean of the Kansas State Wildcats finished second in voting with 7 first place votes, while Casey Kearney of the Oklahoma State Cowboys finished third with 3 first place votes.
