Bulldogs Advance to Elite 8 Monday, May 11th , 2026 It went the distance, but the Georgia Bulldogs finally disposed of the Texas Longhorns 6-4 in the series clincher at Foley Field. Winning the finale gave the Bulldogs the series, 2-1. They will now advance to the Elite 8. The Most Valuable Player Award went to Georgia right fielder Stephen West. He batted .455 in the series, collecting 1 RBIs and scoring 3 runs. "Stephen deserves it," said Bulldogs manager Rick Rhoads. "He was the glue that held our club together." The Georgia Bulldogs will play against the Missouri Tigers in the next round. Missouri won their series against the Iowa State Cyclones 2 games to 1. The Elite 8 schedule will be announced after the Sweet 16 finishes. |
