Tigers Prevail, as Sweet 16 Goes to the Wire Monday, May 11th , 2026 ABA College pundits who figured the Sweet 16 between the Missouri Tigers and Iowa State Cyclones would go the distance were right on the mark. The two teams battled back and forth in a spirited series, with Missouri coming out on top thanks to a 11-1 win in the deciding game at Cap Timm Field, to wrap things up 2-1. "You get to the last game and anything can happen, so we're overjoyed to come out on top," said Tigers first baseman Matt Egan, who was named series MVP. For the series, Egan had 6 hits for a .429 average. He had 0 home runs, 2 RBI and scored 3 runs. The Missouri Tigers don't know who they will face in the next round.
