Pitcher of the Year Award Goes to Missouri Hurler

Zach Jackson of the Missouri Tigers dazzled the Conference 2 in 2022, stacking up win after win, finishing the season with 5 victories and 2 losses -- numbers good enough to reap the Conference 2 Pitcher of the Year Award.

He made 10 starts, hurled 58.1 innings, yielded 37 hits, struck out 59 batters, walked 17 and ended up with a 1.54 ERA. Opposing teams hit .182 against him.

He received 35 first place votes out of a possible 56. Bobby Henderson of the Kansas State Wildcats finished second in voting with 19 first place votes, while Jaheim Johnson of the Florida Gators finished third.
