Henry Goes 5-for-6 Against Ole Miss
Friday, April 5th , 2024
Iowa State Cyclones second baseman Sean Henry had a day to remember at Swazye Field at Oxford-University Stadium, ripping apart the Ole Miss Rebels and sparking the 15-0 Cyclones win.
Henry wrote his name in the record books with a 5-hit barrage, finishing his special day 5-for-6.
"I'm usually a first ball hitter," Henry told BNN reporters in the postgame press conference. "I think pitchers think batters are going to let the first one go by. I never do. I've always found that it's better to pull the trigger early in the count. Pitchers get real nasty when they get ahead of you, so I try to avoid it."
Sean Henry singled in the 1st, doubled in the 2nd, hit a three-run home run off Nick Alcorn in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 6th and grounded out in the 8th.
This year, Henry is batting .365 with 9 home runs.
