Texas Tech Advances to Elite 8 Monday, May 11th , 2020 The Texas Tech Red Raiders are on to the Elite 8 after a convincing series win over the Alabama Crimson Tide. Texas Tech wrapped up the series sweep with a 5-3 win in the last game, to take the series 2-0. "We expected to win and we executed the way we needed to," said Ryan Bustamante, who was named series MVP. For the series, Bustamante hit .571 with a .625 on-base percentage. He had 1 home runs, drove in 3 RBI and scored 3 runs. The Texas Tech Red Raiders will play against the Florida Gators in the next round. Florida won their series against the Kentucky Wildcats 2 games to 0. The Elite 8 schedule will be announced after the Sweet 16 finishes. |
