Sooners Move on to Elite 8 Wednesday, May 11th , 2022 The Oklahoma Sooners were paced by a strong offensive output from Elijah Lewis as they downed the Florida Gators 2-1 to win the Sweet 16. Oklahoma won the final game by a score of 5-2 at L. Dale Mitchell Baseball Park to send themselves off to the Elite 8. "I wasn't so much focused on putting up big offensive numbers as I was about ensuring we won the games. So it's mission accomplished there," said second baseman Lewis, who was named MVP. For the series, the MVP hit .500 with a .500 on-base percentage. He had 1 home runs, drove in 3 RBI and scored 4 runs.
