Playoffs Won't Happen for Longhorns Friday, May 8th , 2020 The mood in the Texas Longhorns clubhouse was noticeably subdued today, as the club's fate on the season was officially sealed -- they will miss the postseason. "We put ourselves in this position," said Longhorns left fielder Pat Bounds. "Nobody to blame but us." Texas last appeared in the postseason in 2018. This is their 2nd consecutive year missing the playoffs, and in total they have not advanced past the regular season 5 times in their 20-year history. In the last 10 seasons, the Longhorns have only missed the playoffs once. |
