Cowboys Advance to Elite 8 Tuesday, May 10th , 2022 Jimmy Kronenberger said he expected the Sweet 16 to be "a battle from start to finish." In the end, it was nothing more than a minor skirmish, as the Oklahoma State Cowboys encountered little resistance in sweeping the Auburn Tigers, to advance to the Elite 8. "It may have been a sweep, but it still was a tough series," said Kronenberger. Oklahoma State won the final game by a 8-5 count and were led in the series by Kronenberger, who was named MVP. On the series, he hit .625 with 3 home runs. He also drove in 6 RBI and scored 5 runs. The Oklahoma State Cowboys will play against the TCU Horned Frogs in the next round. TCU won their series against the Kansas State Wildcats 2 games to 0. The Elite 8 schedule will be announced after the Sweet 16 finishes. |
