Horned Frogs Dominate, Sweep Sweet 16 Tuesday, May 10th , 2022 The TCU Horned Frogs proved to be too much to handle for the Kansas State Wildcats in the Sweet 16, and a sweep was the end result. TCU punched its ticket to the Elite 8 on the strength of a 12-11 win in the deciding game, which wrapped up the series 2-0. TCU left fielder Tim Scott, named series MVP, was instrumental in the sweep, as he mashed Kansas State pitching to the tune of a .600 average, with a .692 on-base percentage. He had 0 home runs, drove in 4 RBI and scored 2 runs. The TCU Horned Frogs don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Auburn Tigers - Oklahoma State Cowboys series. Oklahoma State leads the series 1 game to 0. The Elite 8 schedule will be announced after the Sweet 16 finishes. |
