Badgers Win Sweet 16 Tuesday, May 10th , 2022 It took a while, but the Wisconsin Badgers finally disposed of the Michigan Wolverines 8-4 in the series clincher at Ray Fisher Stadium. Winning the finale gave the Badgers the series, 2-1. They will now advance to the Elite 8. The Most Valuable Player Award went to Wisconsin second baseman Matt Leith. He batted .500 in the series, collecting 2 RBIs and scoring 1 runs. The Wisconsin Badgers don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Notre Dame Fighting Irish - Virginia Cavaliers series. That series is tied at 1 game each. The Elite 8 schedule will be announced after the Sweet 16 finishes. |
