Torres Powers 3 HR Against Iowa State Monday, May 9th , 2022 Cincinnati Bearcats right fielder Mark Torres left the Iowa State pitching staff in ruins at UC Baseball Stadium, beating the Cyclones, 10-3, with a prodigious three-home run performance. "The last one was totally unexpected," Torres told reporters at the press conference following his big game. "I just wanted to make good contact, never thinking I would get a home run, and bang, I got number three." For the game, the Cincinnati right fielder had 3 hits in 4 at-bats, drove in 8 and scored 3 runs. Mark Torres grounded out in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off David Aronova in the 4th, hit a three-run home run off David Aronova in the 5th and hit a three-run home run off Ian Fox in the 7th. For the season, Torres is batting .276 with 54 hits and 8 home runs. He has scored 36 times and batted in 26. |
