Big Day for Coufal: Swats 5 Hits Friday, April 4th , 2025 It was a sensational day at the plate for Peter Coufal as he led the charge to a nifty 11-4 win over the Cougars. The Arizona first baseman was pure misery for the Houston pitching staff. He left them shell-shocked with 5 hits in 7 at-bats in an explosive display of hitting. "Coufal put the ball into play and he really hit it hard," said Hyeok Doe, manager for the Cougars, after the game. "When you do that, you've got a good chance to do some damage. And that's what happened. I feel like we threw some good pitches, but he just put some good swings on the ball." Peter Coufal flied out in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Erik Dieckman in the 5th, struck out in the 6th, singled in the 8th, singled in the 10th and singled in the 12th. At present, Coufal is batting .277 with 28 hits and 6 home runs. He has knocked in 15 runs and scored 12 times. |
