Smashing Success: Phillips Wallops 3 HR
Friday, April 4th , 2025
The "hardest feat in sports" debate is a never-ending one with no correct answer, but hitting three home runs is certainly in the conversation. That's exactly what Dylan Phillips did at Lindsey Nelson Stadium, going deep three times and carrying his team to victory, 17-1.
"It all came together. I was seeing the ball well and I got some good pitches to hit," Phillips said. "Good things happen, when that happens."
The Alabama Crimson Tide right fielder blistered the Tennesse Volunteers for 3 hits, batted in 4 runs and scored 3 times.
"It ain't like we weren't trying," Tennesse manager Ricardo Lozano said. "He was hot and really torched my boys today."
Dylan Phillips flied out in the 1st, flied out in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off Mike Moore in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off John Cole in the 6th, hit a solo-shot off Ben Carter in the 8th and was hit by a pitch in the 9th.
This year, Phillips is batting .326 with 9 home runs.
