Year Ends for T.J. Cates in UCF Wednesday, April 12th , 2023 When T.J. Cates was hurt against the Tennesse Volunteers, the UCF Knights were hopeful that the injury was not serious. However, it proved to be more severe than first thought. The 19-year-old starting pitcher suffered a stretched elbow ligament throwing a pitch in yesterday's game. Team doctors told BNN today that Cates would miss 9-10 months of the season. This year, Cates has fanned 13 in 25 innings and collected a 0-2 record with a 7.20 ERA. |
