Consecutive-Game Hit Streak Continues for Kettle

Steve Kettle has been ripping hits every day for a while now, and nobody seems able to stop him. The Kansas State first baseman picked up 1 more today against the Vanderbilt Commodores and now has a 20-game hitting streak. The Wildcats won the game, 9-3.
"Definitely somebody's going to stop me at some point," he said later, chuckling. "I'll enjoy it for the time being." Steve Kettle flied out in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, flied out in the 4th, hit a two-run double in the 6th and flied out in the 8th.
Kettle is currently hitting at a .339 pace with 11 home runs and 51 RBIs. He has played in 49 games and scored 34 times.
