The Cardinals reliever suffered shoulder inflammation during a game against the Northwestern Wildcats and will be out for at least 4 months. Club officials told BNN they do not expect him to return to the team this season. This year, Durkin has 15 relief appearances with no saves, 0-3 season record and a 10.12 ERA.
