SL1's Best Batter Announced Saturday, May 1st , 2021 At only 20 years of age, Derek Vance could very well have many more months like this last one during his career. That would be great news for fans of the Virginia Cavaliers, as April was one to remember for the shortstop and he has captured the Conference 1 Batter of the Month award. On the month he hit .419 with 8 home runs, 23 RBIs and 21 runs scored. For the season, Vance is batting .352 with 58 hits and 9 home runs. He has scored 32 times and batted in 32. |
