Hit Streak Over, Nittany Lions Stop Garner Tuesday, April 27th , 2021 The Penn State Nittany Lions clamped down on Brian Garner and put a stop to his hit streak. He went without a hit, ending the run at 21 straight games, but it didn't keep the Fighting Irish from winning. Notre Dame downed the Nittany Lions, 6-1. "It was bound to happen," Garner said with a shrug after the game. In his season totals Garner has 4 home runs and a .338 batting average. |
