Madrigal Is King of Swing: Goes Deep 3 Times Tuesday, April 4th , 2023 The "hardest feat in sports" debate is a never-ending one with no correct answer, but hitting three home runs is certainly in the conversation. That's exactly what Jorge Madrigal did at L. Dale Mitchell Baseball Park, going deep three times and carrying his team to victory, 6-5. "It all came together. I was seeing the ball well and I got some good pitches to hit," Madrigal said. "Good things happen, when that happens." The Oklahoma Sooners third baseman blistered the Cincinnati Bearcats for 3 hits, batted in 3 runs and scored 3 times. "It ain't like we weren't trying," Cincinnati manager Dominique Lapin said. "He was hot and really torched my boys today." Jorge Madrigal struck out in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Pat DeChant in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Pat DeChant in the 5th and hit a solo-shot off Jacob McConnell in the 7th. Madrigal is currently hitting .297 with 4 home runsand 15 RBIs, while scoring 8 runs. |
