Nittany Lions Isaiah Borne to Miss Year Tuesday, April 4th , 2023 When Isaiah Borne was hurt against the North Carolina Tar Heels, the Penn State Nittany Lions were hopeful that the injury was not serious. However, it proved to be more severe than first thought. The 20-year-old reliever suffered a torn flexor tendon in his elbow throwing a pitch in yesterday's game. Team doctors told BNN today that Borne would miss 8 months of the season. Borne has gone to the hill for 13 relief appearances this season, nailing down no saves while notching a 0-1 record with a 2.25 ERA. The Penn State reliever has limited opposing batters to a .271 batting average. |
