Knight 6-for-7 Against Kansas State Monday, April 3rd , 2023 6 hits in a game is a rare thing, but Ole Miss's Steve Knight made it happen against the Wildcats. Everything came together at the plate for the 21-year-old center fielder as he collected 6 hits in 7 at-bats -- and helped the Rebels triumph, 16-2, at Frank Myers Field at Tointon Family Stadium. "I'm just out there to try and help the team win," Knight said after the game, "I had some real good at-bats. I made good, solid contact and luckily no one caught 'em." Steve Knight hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, grounded out in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit a solo-shot off Steven Hyatt in the 8th, hit a solo-shot off Jim Unknown in the 9th and hit an RBI single in the 9th. Currently Knight has 6 home runs and a .419 batting average. |
