Cunningham Tags Crimson Tide for 5 Hits Wednesday, April 24th , 2019 It wasn't just another day at the ballpark for Trevor Cunningham today. Cunningham went on a tear and cracked hit after hit off Alabama pitchers. When the dust settled on the diamond at Sewell-Thomas Stadium, he had a 5-for-5 line and a day he will long remember. And the Florida Gators had a 8-4 victory over the Crimson Tide. "Yeah, it'll be something nice to tell the grandkids, but it won't get me a hit tomorrow," he joked in the postgame interview. Trevor Cunningham singled in the 1st, walked in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Joe Christensen in the 6th, singled in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Joe Wilson in the 9th. Cunningham is currently batting .315 with 10 home runs, 29 RBIs and 26 runs scored. He has 39 hits in 124 at-bats. |
