Bounds Goes Yard 3 Times Saturday, April 17th , 2021 Texas left fielder Pat Bounds blasted three homers at Phoenix Municipal Stadium in the 10-9 Longhorns victory over the Arizona State Sun Devils. For the game, Pat Bounds scored 3 times and knocked in 3 runs. When he hit his last home run, his teammates, hearing the crack of the bat, leaped off the bench and rushed on the field to greet the jubilant Bounds when he reached home plate. "It was just one game, but it sure was a lot of fun -- 3-for-7, three roundtrippers and a win," a gleeful Bounds told BNN reporters in a postgame interview. "What a day." Pat Bounds hit a solo-shot off Phil Johnson in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, struck out in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Jeff Brown in the 7th, hit a solo-shot off Josh Gomez in the 9th, struck out in the 10th and flied out in the 12th. Currently Bounds is batting .326 with 12 home runs and 23 RBIs. |
