Morgan Blisters BYU
Thursday, March 28th , 2024
It takes more than one player to win a baseball game - as proven by Paul Morgan of the Kentucky Wildcats.
The Kentucky left fielder gave it his all and dominated BYU Cougars pitching at Kentucky Proud Park, finishing with a great 5-for-5 line. However, when the game ended, the scoreboard showed the Cougars going home the winner, 7-6.
"There's no point gloating about a 5-hit day in a loss," Morgan said. "A loss just means you should have done more. Maybe I should have hit 5 home runs instead."
Paul Morgan doubled in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Jerry Maciaszek in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 8th and singled in the 9th.
This year, Morgan is hitting .415, produced 17 RBIs and 6 home runs, scored 15 times and gotten on base at a .493 rate.
