Conference 1 ACC Champions Crowned Thursday, May 5th , 2022 Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets manager Justin Shelhart said it was a "battle all season long" for his club to win the Conference 1 ACC. But they've done exactly that, today edging out their division rivals to take the top spot. "It was down to the wire, so it makes it even more special," he said. "Our guys grinded all year and this is the end result." The club has a 37-13 record to top the division for the 1st time and will now be searching for a 1st championship. "We may not have won the division by a wide margin, but I don't think anyone in our clubhouse ever doubted we'd do it," said shortstop Jeff Yule. |
