After staying in the hunt until the final days of the season, Virginia Tech has now been officially eliminated from playoff qualification. "We were so close," shortstop Danny Velasquez said wistfully. The Hokies are still searching for their first playoff appearance. They haven't made the playoffs in all 5 years of their history. |
