Nittany Lions Pitching Ravaged by Riddell Monday, May 2nd , 2022 Craig Riddell was sizzling at the plate. In a game played at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park, the Michigan shortstop blistered the Penn State Nittany Lions for 5 hits in 6 at-bats to pace his club to a good 15-3 victory. "Riddell was too tough to get out," Nittany Lions skipper Jimmy Wilson said in his postgame interview. "No matter what we threw him, he hit it. And he hit some good pitches, too." Craig Riddell singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit a three-run home run off Jason Vance in the 5th, singled in the 6th, hit a two-run double in the 8th and flied out in the 9th. So far in 2022 Riddell is batting .328 with 6 home runs, 33 RBIs and 20 runs scored. He has 62 hits in 189 at-bats and a .404 OBP. |
