Perez Socks It to USC 3 Times Thursday, April 30th , 2020 Tony Perez was sending souvenirs to the sun gods all game long in the 10-8 Oregon Ducks triumph at Dedeaux Field today. The 20-year-old put on a show for fans, launching not one, not two, but three home runs into the stands and powering the Ducks past the USC Trojans. "One homer's good, two's great, three's out of sight," Perez told BNN reporters after the game. "I can't wait until next game. I really feel good at the plate." The first baseman went 3-for-6, rung up 7 RBIs and scored 3 runs on his record-setting day. Tony Perez struck out in the 1st, hit a three-run home run off Manuel Cristerna in the 3rd, hit a three-run home run off Willie Deatrick in the 5th, flied out in the 7th, grounded out in the 9th and hit a solo-shot off John Sims in the 12th. This season Perez has hit 12 home runs and posted a .331 batting average. |
