Cowboys Lilienthal Smacks 5 Hits Saturday, April 30th , 2022 Eric Lilienthal exploded for a barrage of base hits at Larry H. Miller Field. The Oklahoma State center fielder had a field day in his team's 17-10 triumph over the BYU Cougars, finishing 5-for-6. "My hitting philosophy is simple," he said. "I focus on just seeing the ball and I try to get a good pitch." Lilienthal must have focused at least 5 times and apparently got some good pitches, too, leading to one of his best days ever with the bat. Eric Lilienthal doubled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Scott Ullrich in the 5th, singled in the 6th, flied out in the 8th and singled in the 9th. Lilienthal is currently batting .350 with 10 home runs and 32 RBIs. |
