Hit Streak Now at 25 for McCarson Sunday, March 17th , 2024 The South Carolina Gamecocks stopped the Ole Miss Rebels, 9-7, and Ed McCarson collected a base hit yet again. The South Carolina right fielder finished with 1 hit to run his consecutive-game hitting streak to 25. "I want to get a hit every time up," a visibly excited McCarson told reporters after the contest. "I want to get a hit every game I play. Right now, I feel like I could take this streak to 100 games." Ed McCarson walked in the 1st, walked in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, was hit by a pitch in the 6th and flied out in the 8th. For the season, McCarson has hit .346 with 4 home runs and 5 RBIs. He has played in 8 games and scored 6 times. |
