Gregg Pounds 3 HR Friday, March 15th , 2024 Fans are still buzzing after Notre Dame whipped the Virginia Cavaliers by the score of 9-1 at Davenport Field at Disharoon Park. Tim Gregg smashed three home runs in the contest, a feat that would be a career highlight for most players and few fans ever see. In a tremendous performance, the left fielder bashed out 3 hits in 4 at-bats, had 5 RBIs and scored 3 times. At the postgame press conference, Gregg said it was an "unbelievable" feeling to hit three home runs in a game. "Getting one homer is special, and two is great," Gregg said. "Three is just... wow." Tim Gregg hit a three-run home run off B.J. Gonzalez in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off B.J. Gonzalez in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off B.J. Gonzalez in the 6th, walked in the 7th and flied out in the 8th. So far this season, Gregg is hitting .500 with 6 home runs. |
