Adams Strokes 5 Hits Wednesday, March 13th , 2024 It was a parade of hits for Jim Adams of the California Golden Bears at Stu Gordon Stadium. Connecting almost every time he went to the plate, Adams finished the day with a total of 5 hits in 5 at-bats. His strong individual effort propelled the Golden Bears to a win, 19-2. "Adams was really good and we were really bad," groaned Hokies manager Stephen Sanchez. "Next time he's that hot, we'll just walk him." Jim Adams hit a two-run double in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Roger Jordan in the 6th and hit an RBI single in the 6th. |
