Wildcats Breene Booms 3 HRs Tuesday, March 12th , 2024 The "hardest feat in sports" debate is a never-ending one with no correct answer, but hitting three home runs is certainly in the conversation. That's exactly what Eric Breene did at Frank Myers Field at Tointon Family Stadium, going deep three times and carrying his team to victory, 13-8. "It all came together. I was seeing the ball well and I got some good pitches to hit," Breene said. "Good things happen, when that happens." The Kansas State Wildcats first baseman blistered the Kentucky Wildcats for 3 hits, batted in 6 runs and scored 3 times. "It ain't like we weren't trying," Kentucky manager Javier Acevedo said. "He was hot and really torched my boys today." Eric Breene hit a two-run home run off Jesse Trimboli in the 1st, was hit by a pitch in the 3rd, flied out in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Mike Rudd in the 6th, walked in the 7th and hit a two-run home run off Chris Mullins in the 8th. |
