Ortega Rips 3 Homers Against Wildcats Friday, March 27th , 2026 In a powerful performance that left the fans at Davenport Field at Disharoon Park buzzing, Virginia Cavaliers first baseman Jose Ortega blasted a trio of home runs en route to a win, 11-4, over the Northwestern Wildcats. "Everything was clicking," Ortega told the press. "My timing was good and I got pitches I could handle and I didn't miss them." Ortega shined brilliantly in the win, with 3 hits in 3 at-bats, 5 RBIs and 3 runs scored. "It's not just one guy, it's everybody," Cavaliers manager Collin Romero said.
