Hits Galore: Mims Drills 5 Hits Monday, April 18th , 2022 Virginia Cavaliers second baseman Matt Mims went ballistic with the bat. He hammered the Penn State Nittany Lions for 5 hits to help Virginia win, 14-0, over Penn State at Davenport Field at Disharoon Park. Matt Mims walked in the 1st, doubled in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, doubled in the 5th and doubled in the 7th. This year, Mims has hit 7 home runs and posted a .333 batting average. |
