Tigers End Erb's Streak Monday, April 20th , 2020 The Tigers stopped David Erb's 21-game hitting streak today at Baylor Ballpark, but they couldn't stop the Baylor Bears, falling by the score of 8-4. Erb didn't get a hit for the first time in weeks, finishing 0-for-3. "It's just as well," Bears manager Willie Miranda said. "We couldn't spend the whole season going out of our way not to jinx him." Thus far this season Erb is hitting .338 with 2 home runs, 18 RBIs and 19 runs scored. He has 47 hits in 139 at-bats and has played in 35 games. |
