Iowa's Collins Will Miss Season Sunday, April 17th , 2022 The season is ending on a bad note for Mike Collins, closer for the Iowa Hawkeyes. It was announced today that he will miss the rest of the season because of injury. Collins was hurt against the Wake Forest Demon Deacons while throwing a pitch. He suffered a torn labrum and will be out for at least 10 months. In 15 relief appearances this season, Collins has chalked up 9 saves with 17 strikeouts in 19.2 innings, 1-2 won-lost mark and a 0.46 earned run average. |
