South Carolina Loses Vance Walker, Will Miss Season Sunday, April 17th , 2022 The season is finished for Vance Walker of the South Carolina Gamecocks. The club announced today that he will forego the rest of the year because of injury. The Gamecocks reliever suffered shoulder inflammation while throwing a pitch in a recent game against the Kansas Jayhawks. Team doctors said it would take at least 6 months to heal. So far this season, Walker has a 2-1 won-lost record with no saves. He has made 11 relief appearances, logged 14.1 innings and fanned 14 batters while fashioning a 3.77 ERA and allowing the opposition a .109 batting average. |
