Erb Runs Hit String to 20 Straight Games Saturday, April 18th , 2020 David Erb continued his streak at Dan Law Field at Rip Griffin Park today, even as the ballgame did not go his way. The Baylor left fielder was 1-for-2 in today's contest and now has hit safely in his last 20 games. The Bears were not as fortunate, losing 5-1 to the Texas Tech Red Raiders. "Erb was hitting everything we threw at him," said Texas Tech manager Jeremy Kelley. "He is a tough out. Fortunately, things went our way in the ballgame today and we came away with a win." David Erb grounded out in the 1st, walked in the 3rd, singled in the 6th and walked in the 8th. Currently Erb has 2 home runs and a .348 batting average. |
