Kibler Batters Ohio State Big Time
Friday, April 15th , 2022
It was a sensational day at the plate for Bill Kibler as he led the charge to a nifty 14-1 win over the Buckeyes. The Michigan State center fielder was pure misery for the Ohio State pitching staff. He left them shell-shocked with 5 hits in 5 at-bats in an explosive display of hitting.
"Kibler put the ball into play and he really hit it hard," said Jimmy Jacobsen, manager for the Buckeyes, after the game. "When you do that, you've got a good chance to do some damage. And that's what happened. I feel like we threw some good pitches, but he just put some good swings on the ball."
Bill Kibler singled in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and singled in the 7th.
This season, Kibler has banged out 33 hits in 120 at-bats for a .275 average with 12 home runs. He is getting on base at a .348 pace and his totals also include 30 RBIs and 22 runs scored.
