Henson Hits 4 Homers Against Jayhawks Saturday, March 15th , 2025 Nothing could stop Jason Henson -- certainly not the Kansas Jayhawks pitching staff. The 20-year-old second baseman for the Alabama Crimson Tide sent 4 baseballs soaring out of Hoglund Ballpark and made his name a part of history. Behind his barrage, the Crimson Tide earned a win, 15-5, over the Jayhawks. "In the standings, a loss is just a loss, but this one was frustrating," Jayhawks manager Steve Kirchen said later. "He clobbered us." Henson's dream game included 4 hits in 6 at-bats, 4 homers, 7 runs driven in and 4 runs scored. "I know all the stories are going to be about me today, and that's OK," Henson told the press in the locker room after the game. "Next time, it'll be one of the other guys." Jason Henson struck out in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off Butch Giuliana in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Adrian Merendino in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Cody McNicholas in the 6th, hit a solo-shot off Cody McNicholas in the 8th and grounded out in the 9th. So far this season, Henson has recorded a .348 batting average with 8 hits, 5 home runs, 11 RBIs, 8 runs scored and a .444 OBP. |
